STORY OF TAN KEN
October 28, 2016 By Casey Holdahl
If you're a regular viewer of TNT's "Inside The NBA," you might have seen Ernie, Chuck, Kenny and Shaq cracking on a particularly tan and hirsute Trail Blazers fan in attendance during Portland's 113-104 regular season opening victory versus the Utah Jazz. The crew dubbed this sharp dressed fan "Really Tan Portland Ken," a reference to Barbie's long time beau, and proceeded to spend a significant amount of time discussing his facial hair and excess of melanin.

A few days later, the TNT crew was in Portland to broadcast Thursday night's game between the Clippers and Blazers at the Moda Center, which gave "Portland Ken," who is actually Ron Sloy, a Financial Advisor and close friend of the late, great Jerome Kersey, a chance to set the record straight about his identity. And as it turns out, Sloy, who was responsible for erecting the "JK25" light feature in the West Hills last holiday season, had previously met three-fourths of the "Inside The NBA" crew through his relationship with Kersey, which he talked about at length during his segment.
Ron Sloy: hell of a mustache, hell of a tan, hell of a guy.
